The Sleeping Squirrel
This squirrel was so tiny. I would say it was about half the size of the adults. Which I am sure is the reason it was so tired all of the time. I found it multiple times in strange places taking a nap. a few times on the ground and on the deck railing.
The top picture was right outside our kitchen window.
The bottom two were on a rock next to a tree.
The lines are from the railing on the deck.

Napping in Strange Places
You never know what you are going to find where and how.
I stumbled across this little bird outside the door of Target.
It just sat there. I started to pet it and my two children.
It is beautiful. I literally would have stepped on it if I was not looking.
I picked it up and moved it onto a short wall behind a trash can.
It had been sleeping while sitting in the original
pathway really close to the road.
When I picked it up it started to flutter a little.
But it just hopped across the wall like it didn't know how to fly.
finally, it lifted up and did a wide, but not too skillful circle, out to the parking lot and then over the roof of the store.
At least I know it can fly.
This is a young Kentucky Warbler.
I had my sister do the homework for me.
(not too great of quality pictures with my cell phone.
I did not have my camera with me)

Barn Swallows
I had forgotten about these. We were at a park and the roof of the picnic shelter had about a dozen nests all over. They were flying in and out all over. I love watching Barn Swallows fly.

Little Spots Everywhere
We saw this pair at Powder Valley while visiting with my sister.
It so friendly. When it first saw us it started to run to us. Then stopped.
It got within a foot of my sister. She took these two pictures.
There are baby deer everywhere.
A few days ago we got to watch them all day long.
At sunset they dissapeared into the woods.
This was looking out the kitchen window.
What will I take pictures of when the babies grow up?
This one is my favorite. My oldest son spotted these spots at the state park.
We first only saw the mom.
These are pictures of the twins in our own backyard.A few days ago we got to watch them all day long.
At sunset they dissapeared into the woods.
This was looking out the kitchen window.
